From time to time people ask what directories I would actually recommend.
While there are numerous niche specific directories, below are my general recommendations. (PM me if if you think there is a "valuable" directory that I am missing, myself and the Administrators will evaluate adding it.)
Business.com - $299 per year for commercial listings.
Yahoo! Directory - $299 per year for commercial listings. Free for non-commercial listings.
BOTW - one time $299 fee (Tip: sign up for free listing and they will email you a good discount coupon for the paid listing)
JoeAnt - one time $40 fee
