Hey,
I'm just looking for people's opinions on this site. Does it look good, trustworthy, etc.?
Is navigating the site pretty simple? And if you don't mind, what do you think about pricing overall? Open to any suggestions...Thanks
Hi,
your site design is fully messed up in Google Chrome.Since your site is about shopping cart, you must fully concentrate on your design...

Loaded well for me. Gotta say though - that banner is a bit overwhelming. Have a hard time reading about the products with all that movement. Pricing seems to be competitive.
You asked about the site looking "trustworthy" - The box with statement about "We've got great deals..." seems to take away from the overall image. Maybe a better way to share that? Might be too many fonts on the same page.
Glad you defined "Unlocked Phone" - that made me a bit leery until I read the information page.
I like that you included shipping costs (standard) on your shopping cart! Too many places leave that out until you go through the entire check out process.
Best wishes!

Thank you both for your reviews, especially basketlady. I'll be working on your suggestions.
As for our design being messed up on Google Chrome, it could be because of the search engine. It is only a beta & does not have all the bugs worked out yet.
I do thank you for letting me know though. =]
I hope to get more reviews & different suggestions; please elaborate as much as possible.
I like the site, clean look easy to navigate.
1. One thing is that the banner was too distracting to me. i would suggest you slow the animation abit or you can put a still image.
2. There is no doctype declaration:
Code: html
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">
3. Standardise the fonts on the homepage on the box with "We've got great deals on unlocked cell phones....................".
4. consider making this text a link "Join our newsletter to be notified of upcoming sales and coupon codes."
4. as for trustworthyness one thing that stuck is that you are using a yahoo email address, personally i would think twice about dealing with a company that uses free email addresses. it doesnt potray a professional image.
But overall looks good. well done.

agree with comments on your banner to me looks too much like an advert
Main content area needs to either be central or full width with it pushed to the left up against the menu looks untidy this is most obvious on the home page
otherwise looks quite good
Thank you kwezi & allenion. Those were all great suggestions, & I will start on those as soon as possible. But I have one question.
What is the doctype declaration for?
the doctype declaration is not a requirement actually, nothing really wll happen when you omit it. If you care for standards then its a good web design practise to include it, as well as making your pages validate.
Basically its used to define the grammar rules for the markup we use in our document. It is also used for validation as defined in W3C recommendations.
The doctype declaration is not an HTML tag; it is an instruction to the web browser about what version of the markup language the page is written in.
The doctype declaration refers to a Document Type Definition (DTD). The DTD specifies the rules for the markup language, so that the browsers can render the content correctly. More info

I like how you arrange your content on the page, but I would want to see the banner at the top center position fill the entire header part. I think it's awkward to look at.
It is a clean layout. As mentioned before the "great deal" box needs to redone. Maybe made the borders for the table invisible and align the paragraph to the left. Navigating was easy and loaded quickly.

Hi there....your site looks good. what about the order in Browse the categories? why don't you use alphabetical order? would make it easier for the user. I can suggest a German website that has a great navigation, maybe you can have a look for some ideas : (<URL REMOVED>)

I would like to say that the website content was good the graphics loaded fast, maybe the background coloring could change just to give it a warm feel.

Hi
I think your site looks trustworthy. Its clear and easy to navigate around with good contents and clear images.
not bad, not bad!
It reminds me of Hogn kong websites, which remind me of cons.
Try putting the ads (if you need them, on the side, halfway or at the bottom) and put a nice, noticably decent logo on top.
Try less specific prices and end in .50 .00 or .99, and finally use your own images not manufacturer ones.
Oh...anddd maybe change the font?
Why don't you take off that top banner and create a nice looking logo. That is what is missing from your site. You need brand presence. It's only like $99 to get a logo.

I love the look of your site...looks great! There are a couple things that I noted. The verbage in the box right at the top below the top banner, I didn't like the way that is presented...doesn't look professional and doesn't fit. The rest of the site the color, the feel, the look, the navigation, the categories all layed out nicely. One other thing, the newsletter on the side bar looks great there but maybe you want that at the top of the side bar instead of the search button to get people to sign up and thus more business links. I thought listing it in the box was redundant. Great website.
This is a good looking site. Very easy to navigate and find what you are looking for. I agree that the banner is too flasy. My only suggestion is that you add a links page. If you want to increase awareness of your site, one good way to do it is to put links to your site out there - and not just on directories. Share links with other similar sites.
This must be a new site? Your site looks simple but informative. It will be easy for ones who have interest in electronics. What do you think about http://www.bowerylights.com? My site. I'm will glad to get your comments
