Ok gang... this is some reasonably exciting news, although I am unsure what to make of it...

hmmm, maybe just a toe in the water to test the response?
I've seen it and have mixed opinions. If they are just rolling it out for people's personal searches then cool but if it's a prelude to greater things to come then we'd better watch out. It's quite fun to use though making lower ranked sites shoot to the top of the page - if only it were true.

To me this is a glorified favourites and should be left as that
many downsides
How to use SearchWiki
Here's how you can rank, remove, add, and comment on search results:
Like a certain search result?
Click to move it to the top of the page. This result will appear at the top whenever you do the same search in the future. We'll add this marker next to it so you'll recognize it later.
Don't like a result?
Click to remove it, and it'll remain hidden whenever you do the same search in the future.
Know of a better webpage?
Click Add a result at the bottom of any search results page to add a page that you consider relevant to that search. Type the URL in the box, then click Add. When you do this search in the future, you'll see the page you suggested at the top with this marker .
Want to comment on a result?
Click to open a text box and type your comment. You'll see it the next time this result appears for any of your searches. Comments are a great way to save and recall any thoughts you had or notes you took about a particular page.
Moving sites up the listings or adding sites restricts the users experience to find new sites and information- new content will be buried in later pages -
hence my comment about adding to favourites
Deleting sites stops users from finding sites that have updated or changed to be more relevant - I always thought google sorts sites this way anyway.
google going to far
Has anyone been using this?
I pushed one of my sites up, only to bring it right back as i wanted to keep an eye on the "real" results - that was the one and only time I touched it
Anyone else?
