B. research potential social sites/networks to see which are best suited
C. research and create content that will appeal to that demographic

Now, you will also have to spend considerable time developing the trust of the community through interaction. This is where the rubber meets the road. If you haven't clearly defined the goals of the social media marketing program, you will not be able to measure and budget accordingly.

you should search the groups & communities of your target market and add that group members in your friends list. Let grow this list as much as possible and offer a great discount or announcement about your website to your group members or friends. This must be working.

I think different social networks have different kind of people. So, Choose social networks or group in that is necessary.
