My best friend Jase has dedicated a great deal of his time to saving money online. Luckily I have been picking up a few of his tricks lately.

I went to register yet another domain name at GoDaddy.com and saw they had a place to enter a coupon code. I went out to Google and looked up Godaddy coupons and found the following site:
http://www.retailmenot.com/view/godaddy.com I put in a coupon code and saved $3.

I have also been on this site: http://www.slickdeals.net/ When I registered I was able to set up notifications. I am trying to buy a camera so I set up some search parameters and whenever someone posts a good deal about a Canon EOS, the site sends me an e-mail. This could be set up for web hosting, domain names etc.

I have found that most online web sites that sale merchandise have coupons and referral discounts - which can be combined, googled for and otherwise used! ;-)

I looked up a site where I get my caricature orders printed and framed and I think knowing about retailmenot will save me about $500 this year.

Affiliate accounts

for example

Set up an affiliate account with the registrar
Set up a buyers account with the registrar

Put the affiliate link on your website

Whenever you go to buy a domain click on your affiliate link first

WARNING

This technique is probably against the ToS/TaC of many of the registrars (as well as many other companies selling through an affiliate scheme)
