I have just found this website and thought that I would pop in and say hello.  My name is Gilly, I'm 29, married and mum to Ethan (7mths). 

I would love to get chatting as I am relatively new to all this....

Just a couple of little things that may help you fit into the forum a bit better:

1)  I see you've put your links at the end of each post. That's against the forum rules. A moderator will be around presently to remove them and politely ask you to use your profile section. It would pay you to get in first.

2)  If you'd like feedback on your site, you'll need to submit three substantial reviews of other sites. Then you can request a review of your own site.

Of course, if someone was to review your site you'd appreciate more than just:

Hi,

Excellent site - very informative!!! I have added it to my favourites.

now, wouldn't you?

So, do unto others....... Got the picture?

3)  If you'd care to give yourself a photo avatar we'd have a better idea who we are talking with. You may wish to fill in the other fields in your profile at the same time.

4)  Reading the forum rules will help you fit in a lot better.

Thank you for your advice.  I am sorry that my site reviews have not been too good and yes, I would like a better informative review that I what I put as you kindly showed. 

I have also cleared my site address from under my signature and have reviewed 3 or 4 sites this morning, I plan to take a look at some more.

Well, Good on ya, Gilly! You're right on the ball.

I had a bit of a look at your site before you removed the links.

I see you've made a great start in terms of content and your linking campaign. I can also see plenty of room for improvement.

Most of your backlinks are fine but there's one you'd have been better off without. Only looked at the first 30 or so.

The file sizes of your photos are way too big. Huge is a better word. Go and have a better look at the Valid Web Designs site that you reviewed and you'll find an excellent tutorial on optimizing photos for the web. I know it's good because I wrote it!

To put site reviews into focus:

I'd spend at least an hour researching your site and writing it up. Matte does a good review in about half an hour. I think ColoEagle spends about an hour.

There's an algirithm that determines if you qualify for a site review. I don't know what the requirements are but I'd guess 100 words would be a good start.
