I stumbled across this site today http://www.webhostingstuff.com/ which gives some useful info when choosing a host provider including uptimes reviews etc.

Beware!
Hosting companies that offer unlimited disk space or bandwidth are blatant liars
That is because these are physical limits and that if you wanted to you could easily eat up all the disk space and band width with very simple apps
What they perhaps mean is unmetered - they don't care how much you use until it's all gone

Dell and IBM are yet to introduce hard drives with unlimited capacity so anyone offering unlimited space is full of shit.
As for third party sites that monitor hosting sites, not much value when you consider that site will be loaded with affiliate links..... Not so unbiased when they're paid for the signups.......

Hey I have seen this web site approximatley 10 or 11 times on a different forum. The only thing that changed was the domain name/ company name, and owner of the site. Must be an affiliate type of program.
As a matter of fact had e mailed one a few months ago asking how they do their rating. Never did get an answer.
