as i said, in my experience AND we are talking hosting here, not running your own server..
We're on the same lines........i'm just trying to point out the fact that cPanel isn't the only server admin package that can be found on a web host that you rent for a few $ a month
The thing is, the hosting company have to buy licenses for these things; cPanel aint cheap and plesk is even more expensive - so the dirt cheap servers tend to have their own alternatives - it's still a web based interface for setting up emails, databases, file renaming etc etc.
what I was trying to say was that you just can't say that it'll be cPanel (or anything else) until you know which web host you'll be using.

I would imagine most hosting packages would include a admin panel that would include easy WP install - it is par for the course these days.
fully agree, most i've seen do (although i don't remember plesk offering any auto script installers)....and word press is pretty standard

Thanks guys for your extra ordinary job for me.I appreciate your work.Thank you very much.Afterall I have learned many things.I have to learn too many things still.
Ok I will try first with free hosting package,as II have some link and also the domain provider is also giving me starter free hostings.Though its only 100MB space, one sub-domain,only two Mysql database.
Then I will trun to paid hostings after gathering some experinece.
I have little how and what in my mind,Can I install my same wordpress blog into different host? I mean if I change my hosting package, then what should be earlier?

Yes Manus. You can move your WP blog.
Actually, you don't move the blog, you move the domain by redirecting your DNS (domain name server).
Not too difficult.
You may even be able to upgrade your hosting package to a larger paid package, with the same host, when you get established. By then, you'll know if that host provides what you need.
Best wishes,
Laurie.

about the credit card issue ...
I'm guessing it's hard to get in India ... ask around, some banks give virtual credit cards, you don't really get credit, but they work just as any other credit card for online payments.

Be sure to get a hosting package that allows for unlimited MySQL databases. You need a MySQL database for each blog.
just doing a wordpress install and have found this in the config file
Code: php
// You can have multiple installations in one database if you give each a unique prefix
$table_prefix = 'wp_'; // Only numbers, letters, and underscores please!

That's great info, Northie, but I'm not so sure it's where Manas is at, in his learning curve.
However, I'm interested in it. I tried to get some info on this the other week but got no response. Nobody about who knew the answer to my question, I guess.
I'll try a new post, perhaps, when I formulate the question concisely.
Regards,
Laurie.
