Totally agree with no follow rule.  This site is really in the development stages.  (Switched from Expressions web to Dreamweaver and there is a slight learning curve involved)  No meta tags have been entered.  Shoppe will be done when we switch the hosting account to his own, forum will also be added at that time.  Used <div>'s to create templates for myself.  as I said still in the development stages.  Still about 30 pages to enter in the gathering section.  (Wish he would slow down a bit)  Help Help.

Hi , just a quick look  and first impressions as a novice..
I dont like the font on the first page doesnt make for easy reading.
There are a few spelling mistakes  you need to see to.
The rest ill leave to those with the proper technical knowledge.

Re: Please Review - http://www.neutralgrounds-metaphysical.com

Hello Ninak,

My first impression is the twinkling background. just a little on the distracting side but not real serious. Possible to have just the stars without the twinkle?

The text weight for the right hand column is not consistent across the pages.

Unless it is intentional, some of the pages are missing the footer content.

You only have one error on the pages, you have not declared the script type with the JS CR Date. (hehe bet you knew I would mention that error) lol

Re: Please Review - http://www.neutralgrounds-metaphysical.com

:DHi Beautiful Eagle Eyes,glad

There really is no footer on any of the pages yet.   It's a work in progress.  The actual owner of the site is my youngest son's best friend.  He is currently on the road and has been sending me stuff to put on for him.  He should be in this Thursday night so Friday morning I have to grab him and get some of this better organized.
Created a temporary template for several sections and will be transferring the rest of the styles as soon as we decide what else he would like on there.  (Can't break the habit of creating a template first and then doing .css)
Have discovered that Dreamweaver is not as scary as I thought it was.  (Photo Shop CS3 Extended is another story)
Will be doing changes and will let you know when they are up.  Thanks again to all of you for you imput.  Janina

Re: Please Review - http://www.neutralgrounds-metaphysical.com

Start again please .. go for a cleaner site with less fluff.

I suppose you may think that the site reflects the subject but in fact it just says to me wizards hats and spells.

Get a cleaner CSS and XHTML design on the go and you will get the message across better..

If you would like some adive feel free to PM me

thanks

barry

Yes,
Wizards, hats and spells and how they come to be.   Why people don't understand them or want to understand them.
The gatherings section gives you backgrounds.  And yes a major work in progress so you will find many pages that do not have meta tags or descriptions.  Changes almost every day as information is gathered.

Change the background to a lighter color, or maybe a light colored image instead, like a white-gray gradiant color.

Thank you. Your suggested changes are being noted and some of them will be implemented.
We are going to redo the site in whole  in a few weeks.  Adding a forum and a blog with lessons, but because of an serious illness in the family we have to wait.

Re: Please Review - http://www.neutralgrounds-metaphysical.com

It's not centered, and is a little heavy on the religious symbols and such. The whole ruin writing just seems like a waste of space, and it looks like something I would see on geocities. The font is way too big, and the disclaimer should be formatted better. I think that even though you're making a religious site you should still make it look a lot more business than it is, and just keep the "art" in the banner.

The site was informative when you selected a topic. The graphics were a little blurry to me but maybe I need my eyes checked.
I do not know enough about building webpages to give you technical advice.
