G'day arc. Welcome to the forum, Mate!

I see you're struggling a bit, so let's see what we can accomplish together, huh?

1)  Your post about RSS is in the chat room. That section is for general chat about non web related stuff. You know, when Ryan got married the other week he told us all in the chat room. That sort of thing.

News in the chat room doesn't show up in the index at the right.

2)  Your signature. Go to the top of this page and click Profile. Take the time to fill in all the sections. A photo avatar would be great to show us who we are talking to.

3)  Take the time to have a good look around the site. There's so much great information there. If you interact with what is going on in the forum and the people who make it work, then the regular people will know that you are prepared to put in the effort to be a participating member.

A bit hard, I know, when you're just starting out, but put in the effort and you'll develop some great friendships here as well as get a lot of help.

4)  About the RSS. I wouldn't worry. If you have Atom Feed you'll be OK. The important thing is what you do with the feed. Read the old posts and articles about social sites etc. and you'll get an idea of it all. Then ask questions about what you don't understand.
