Photo albums

I work with a children's home here in Thailand. Over the last year I've been taking thousands of photos of the home and the community development projects the home and staff are involved in. One thing I'd like to be able to do is add photo albums about these projects and the work volunteers do there. The question I have is what is the best way to set up several albums on a site? I'd like smaller thumb nails that people can click to enlarge the picture to see more clearly.

I also have video and would like to put short videos onto the site, what's the best way to do that?

Many Thanks

Re: Photo albums

look at simpleviewer - its free and quite easy to use. You can have it set so the album opens as a new page or embed in an existing the page.
See  this page and this page for how I have been looking at using it

Re: Photo albums

G'day korat.

I use IrfanView. There's also EastThumbs by ToniArts and Ulead Photo Explorer.

A thumbnail generator is what you're looking for. Should find a number of free ones if you do a search.

You can also do a flash slideshow with a free programme.

Plenty of alternatives.

You can host your video on uTube and link to it.

Regards,
Laurie.

http://coppermine-gallery.net/ requires a powered by line in the license but seems to be pretty functional and even covers video files now by the looks of it
