Whenever I log in I get an error screen that says No Permissions set for this user. I don't know if that is how it is supposed to work. If it is, then ignore this. But, I have to navigate back to the home page to get to the forums.
Hi Davinci..
Ill leave it to the experts ,but i will say that i dont have any error messages when i log in.

Strange, I verified your permissions and all checked ok. How does it work for you now?

that url is not for logging into the forums, so the forum user and PW will not be valid
That is the url I'm redirected to when I log in. Is this the case for everyone?

G'day davinci. Welcome to the forum, Mate!
Not clear on your problem. Doesn't make sense to me. Everything works as you would expect for me.
Maybe you're logged into some obscure part of the site such as submit an article, or some such. Suggest you go to the forums. If you're logged in, there'll be a notice at the top right saying so, like this:

If there's some confusion, then log out and log in again.
The SEO blog and Marketing blog are new, not yet complete. There may well be still bugs to iron out so avoid logging in there.
Can't think what else could possibly be the trouble. It's been working perfectly for a heap of people for several years.
Ah! I know the trouble! Free hosting. Ya get what you pay for!
Come on. Just joking, Mate.
Hey davinci! A less confrontational avatar photo would help a lot. Ya know, we try and cultivate a friendly, laid back atmosphere, here. You could even stand to lighten up on the tone of voice that comes through your posts. Take it or leave it, Mate.
Hope yopu enjoy being with us.
Regards,
Laurie.

I'm logging in from the forum index. It's no big deal I thought I'd just point out what was happening.
What, you don't like my avatar? It's my business avatar...
Sorry if you think I'm being confrontational. I'm pretty laid back myself but when I get into a conversation I give my opinion, no holding back. My intentions are not to offend anyone, I assure you.
looks like i'm joining the party a little late....think i know what's happening so let me have a gander...

The issue has been resolved. Thank you.
thanks for the patience!
I appear to be getting the same screen.
I log in from the login button across the top along the bottom of the header, usually while already within the forum.
It looks like this:
When I hit the back button twice, I will have been logged in and can continue without problems.
Sorry it took a while (hard one to find), but this should be fixed...
if anyone gets an error please let me know
thanks!
Hey, I logged in just fine this time! No problems.
