What is the easiest way to get noticed?
There are so many SEO techniques, I was kind of wondering what are the easiest and most important things to get your site recognized?

Re: What is the easiest way to get noticed?
Hi,
From a novice point of view .. there is no easy way. Keywords, links ,etc ,etc and lots of hard work..
Although come to think of it ,if you pay someone else to do it all for you i would guess that would be the easiest way lol.

Re: What is the easiest way to get noticed?
I know all of that and I have been doing SEO for a long time. Let me clarify my question, what techniques have you as individuals have used and deemed most influencal. There are about a million small things you can do, and there are a million articles pointing out those techniques. I just want personal response that you have used on your sites.
A very good article you should read: http://www.timous.com/en-us/3.ats

Laurie.
Do you think I have an article on my site that I haven't read?

Re: What is the easiest way to get noticed?
Techniques with the most influence tend to contain measurable SEO factors. Everything else is on-par with tarot readings. Since you imply you have vast knowledge... you should know what the measurable factors are and also know that no single technique contains the "secret sauce".
But for me its site architecture and conversion funnels and not so much focus on getting "noticed"

Unfortunetly you are slightly wrong. There is a "secret sauce", unfortunetly it is very time consuming, expense, and considered black hat seo. Spamming Web 2.0 conversations, along with intense backlink campaign, and direct attack on competitions rankings are good ingredients for the "secret sauce".

Re: What is the easiest way to get noticed?
LOL those techniques will certainly 'get you noticed". But I am not wrong at all, you achieve longevity and optimize your sites potential via Relevance, say that 3 times. Good luck and don’t forget to let us know how it all works out for you and any clients that participate.
Edit: If you would like to learn more about relevance there is a nice post over at http://www.huomah.com/search-engines/le … n-seo.html

Re: What is the easiest way to get noticed?
You only use black hat tactics if you need a seasonal site up, one that needs to be number one for a couple days, possibly weeks. When I used to do black hat, the longest I kept a site in the top ten was just over a month. Search engines, like google, usually spot the site quicly and penilize it severely.

Re: What is the easiest way to get noticed?
try running across a cricket pitch during an international match if you want to get noticed.
"Get noticed" is such a poor term for your question - get noticed by whom? SE?, customers?, your mother-in-law?
You say you are very experienced - I suspect it is rather a trollish question.
I have several situations where I have top 10, even number one spots that have remained that way for YEARS - simply by doing the basics properly - and I think the good fortune of having just a couple of govt. sites linking to mine and having a very old domain name.

Re: What is the easiest way to get noticed?
well, to think that there's 1 way to get most out of it, is just the total opposite of the truth ... you need a lrge variation of links etc, that's when google will notice that you're for real, let's say there's 1 way that's more effective then most others, well, if you would focus on that oner alone ... it will loose it's effectiveness ... so, then what? change ! constantly keep adding more tactics to the game !

Re: What is the easiest way to get noticed?
If you are going to get noticed in a shorted span, Go with Paid Campaign techniques like Google Adwords , Overture paid programme and so on. Organic SEO task usually take a lot of time and person has to make patience to get big fruit from hard efforts.

Re: What is the easiest way to get noticed?
Search Engine Optimization requires dedicated mind work and patience. Though, there are (may be) some easy ways to let your website noticed but you have to structure them well and work cautiously.
•Link exchanges/ Inbound links from relevant and high PR websites
•Use original and good content with targeted keywords in your pages that is informative for users and useful for search engine but avoid Spamdexing
•Start PPC advertisements like Google AdWords & Yahoo Search Marketing
•Participation in most relevant and quality forums & Blogs or try to create your own blog.

Re: What is the easiest way to get noticed?
there's a lot of ways to draw traffic to your site. The right keywords and keyword phrases and where there placed on your pages. But the biggest traffic will come from directories and other forms like these.I submitted to about 50 different directories all individually. If you get sucked into one of these will submit you into 200 directories you're wasting your time. You need to submit to them individually in the categories that you qualify for. My site is fairly new. When I was first recognized by Google in the beginning in December My Alexia rating was 28 million as of yesterday I am at 567,287
so I must be doing something right. I really have to thank my host.
their is over 100 million Web sites on the Internet if you're not in the top 1 percent unite to find yourself on the first two pages Google. That's where all the free traffic is.
Here are some suggestions. Some other directories I've applied to and have gotten good traffic
Most people know about DMOZ but he can take anywhere from three months to years to get into.
Make sure you submit your site to all the major search engines like Google, Yahoo!, MSN, AOL and so on
Here some quick ones and their free
www .dmegs. com
SearchSight
www .altavista .com
clusty. com
aol. com
gigablast. COM
www .altavista. com
/www .alltheweb. com
go. com (Yahoo)
search .netscape. com (AOL)
www .amfibi. com
www .abacho.co. uk
www .ulysseek. com
www .aardvarktravel. net
some of these sites lik dmegs.com and searchsight place A picture of your homepage on the site.
aardvarktravel also has a forum just like this one.
now hear is something I just discovered a couple weeks ago it's called Yahoo answers. it's another forum
but not just any forum. As you probably know some of the search engines like ASK do not take submissions they have to find you through directories and other web sites. when I started going on Yahoo answers three weeks ago
I would just interested in answering questions and have people look at my site. couple days ago I was looking through my traffic stats and Low and behold there was ASK and about four other directories that I never even applied to.
most of this information came from my Web host.
I hope this helps you out it sure help me out.

Re: What is the easiest way to get noticed?
Well they may be time wasting tasks to you but people who are getting started looking to get noticed it's not.
Telling people they don't have to submit to a search engine is about as misleading as you can get. If you didn't submit your SITES to a search engine like Google Yahoo and MSN than somebody else did for you. if you don't submit to these guys you don't get seen anywhere. But if you don't have good content and your links don't work right it won't matter who you submit to nobody will see you.
