Website for Review

Additional Comments
The site is not yet complete, what I am looking for is browser compatibility issues, aesthetics, and ease of navigation. All comments are welcome!

Got ya working the grave-yard shift now Mark?
Looks great, nice color blending and the navigation being consistent works good.
Only one picky comment.
With your form, can you make it so that I / visitors don't have to delete before we enter our information?

Good i quite liked this web site kinda easy on your eyes and i do think with a lot more items added for review this should take off im forever trying new power tools out to see what can do the job, and do have to send some back to the shops because they dont perform, and their is a lot of tools overated which have been taken over for their name only that would be of interest in your web page a list of companies which have been taken over for their name to be put on a lesser product.. i think somone who was looking for a whar?dale would be quite surprised to find out it was a just a simple cheaper product internally... so good luck and success in 2008

I fixed this. Thanks for taking a looksee
Anything else you think needs some work? I'm building an entire back-end to this site so it is REALLY easy to add content, basically it has its own custom (lite) CMS.
The trouble I'm running in to now is whether or not to remove the Google Ads completely, change the way it looks, remove ads altogether.
Its a work in progress but once I get the kinks worked out I can start (easily
) adding content.
I'm hoping this takes off, but I need to be patient and make sure I design it with the USER in mind.
Please, keep the comments coming everyone!

What exactly is "msuic"?
I think I would probably move the adsense more to the right and utilize more of the left side for your actual site.

Ok, I fixed the typo. Hate it when I do that.
I'm debating on whether or not to keep the adsense there at all, so I'm just going to leave it as is until I decide what I want to do. Thanks for the input though!

About the only thing I can think of right now is adding a search function, course in the early stages this probably wouldn't get used much.

I've been considering the search feature. I want to write everything for the site since not only do I hope for it to bring in money, but I want the experience and knowledge I will gain - If successful, it will be the first time I made a good amount of money and I would have done it all by myself. Not trying to sound greedy or narcissistic, but I think it would be good.
I'll probably put it up above the AdSense, unless I remove the AdSense. Not sure yet
Hi Mark,
I like the clear simplicity of the site easy to navigate nice colours. Think now-a-days everyone expects to see google ads on webpages and it makes me think the page looks finished , lol if you know what i mean.
The word music is still spelt wrong, but i prob wouldnt have even noticed if it hadnt been pointed out already.

G'day Mark.
I see you have:
It's very easy! Click on the "Categories" option at the top of the page to enter the Categories Portal. Here you can find the products and services that we've reviewed.
How about something less ingroup talk style, such as:
It's very easy! Click on "Categories" at the top of the page to view the various Review Categories. Here you can find the products and services that we've reviewed.
I suppose you have it worked out just how you're going to manage all this reviewing. Hope you don't have to go out and buy products. Could this be termed an advertising/publicity site? Maybe you'll have the best stocked pantry and garden shed this side of the burnt tree!
Best wishes with it.
Laurie.

Ok people, please take a look at it now.
Northie: Added the search feature...try something like "tv" since I only have 1 review in there right now...
Laurie: Haven't forgotten what you've said...once I get the back end stuff done I can worry about pitch text. I appreciate the comments!
Fixed the typo.
Please let me know what you guys think!!!
Thanks!

Looking good Mark,
Checked your search, works good,
I also used your contact and subscribe forms. All seemed to work good with them.
Did find a spelling error for you.
On the contact_submit confirmation page you have "Thank you for contacting The Reivew Room."

Ok, technical / coding review time. Each of your pages appear to be missing a couple of end tags. Haven't you been watching your green checkmark?
For example on your homepage inside subwrapper2, in the first table, you open a span around the word Search, but don't close it. Then don't close your hidden input with the end slash ( /> ). I won't go into them all since I know you know how to find them.

Yeah I knew I was missing some of those. TBH, I've been using FF3B3 (Firefox 3 Beta 3) which the HTML Validator addon doesn't work. I've missed my green checkmark
Thanks for taking a look at the code.
Think I'm gonna remove the newsletter thing for now. As for the search/contact forms... I need to validate that form input data before an injection attack. Would love a really quick and easy way to do that - I'm still researching it.
Thanks everyone for all of your input. Please feel free to be as harsh as you want

I'm playing around with FF3B4 myself, but for most of my web work, I'm sticking with FF2; both for the add-ons as well as to make sure my pages work right on the more common version of FF.

I still use FF2, but I use a Mac, so every time I try to switch between them its like a new install - it wants to import bookmarks, update addons, make it default, etc.
Annoys me so I stick with FF3B3 (haven't gotten 4 yet) most of the time but do go back to FF2 for the same reasons as you mentioned. Just depends if I feel like going through all that crap or not.
