Well this is interesting... Ask appears to be indicating that the winds of change have arrived. Will there be a resurrection of the ladies man, Ask Jeeves, or will they simply sell their search soul to Google?

Ross Dunn's had some good thought about this in one of todays' SR articles:
Apparently ASK Doesn't Always Have the Right Answer
For one i never used Ask. I think i checked it last year to see how we ranked and that was about it
Ross seems pretty sad but did any of you guys and gals use Ask? Will you really miss it?
Cuill sounds interesting- but I have troubles understanding what radical changes they could make to today's search world that would capture a large audience.
For the most part I am pretty content with the results i get in G but it seems many aren't.
So my question is this: what would you like to see changed?
in the article Ross mentioned "Microhoo (a popular nod to the impending doom that is Microsoft buying Yahoo)." > hadn't heard that 1 before...pretty funny though

Well while 'seo/webmasters" may not miss it, I think that the non-seo ladies will embrace a rollback to a “ask a question” search engine. The wife cant stand hearing about seo (though unconsciously she knows a fair amount) but she states that she used it a lot, which corresponds to Asks user profiling/stats. She is a director for a world wide non-profit and its very interesting to hear how an predominantly female organization searches and behaves on the web.
Seeing the complexity and refinements of their queries will make you think a lot about how you formulate your approaches
