Excellent!

That's lovely and quick, I can see extensions on the tutorials in the future like rounded css borders and corners on the forms to make them even sexier, it's fast and informative with an awesome array of in depth content.

The only thing missing is evident monetization and it's call to action.

glad

Thanks, Got the border issues on my add list now.

Which brings me to two things 1- On the beauty of css page, the "view designs" thingy doesnt work... 2 - the reason for my confusion was that i looked at your site, thought cool, skimmed through and got stuck, when i clicked on the top links i didnt see the menu on the side change, i read the text under how to use the tutorials (thought that the pages were still in development), then came here and noticed all the comments about the tutorials... got even more confused, checked i was on the right site... scratched deeper (clicked more sporadically) and found myself on the tutorials. Perhaps some sort of definitive change would make the menu transition easier? a header on the menu perhaps?

Thanks,
As of now there is only the one style for the beauty of css page - (wanna make the second - cool)

When you say header, are you saying saying something on the left above the sub menu?

your website is very easy to control and visit, but if you could add more stunning color design, then that will be great!

Thank you,
I'm with Ryan on this could you elaborate some more.

I wont say no to making the second big_smile Sounds like something interesting to help with tummenupp

Yeah,  a header above the left hand menu - something that very obviously changes when the appropriate link is clicked?

Re: Please Review - http://validwebdesigns.com

Do you know your Google search is off kilter on the main page?  It's showing up partially outside your wrapper in both IE 6 and FF 2

Also, on 'The beauty of CSS' page, it should be "voilą" not "wholla"

BTW I have a design to submit for that page, but it doesn't appear to be ready for submissions.

Great, applause

Just need additional styles to go with the page. I have the style switcher script ready to go.

pm'd my direct e-mail to you.

Hi CE

Good looking clean site - easy to use..... but to use it... how

Code bits to me are new  - so from the code newbies- it would help if there was an easy way to sumit your site and see online just how many code errors there are

well done

Hey, Jody!!! Glad you got this opened for all to see! If your first attempt was a Caddy, this is a Silver Cloud!!! Didn't think you could make it any better, but, apparently, you can!

You know me, though - a "bit" specific and longwinded. Actually just spent a couple hours looking and adding comments in my word processor - more looking then adding comments. How would you like this - as I go, here, when I'm done checking it out at any particular time? In one big clump? Or in PM or e-mail? So far I've seen no typos or problems at all, passed the usual one - I don't get some things yet. curious

Dang! You done good!!!

OK. Night two! Gonna take a bit, but will send it all in one fell swoop! Just to let you know, I -- Ms.Book-Posts -- have been looking at it for about four hours now, and only have two pages of notes. Might sound like a whole lot for most people, but down right short for me. We've been through this part before, so already gave you most responses already. Since this is the "live" version, I'm coming at it from two angles -- Noob and English teacher/writer.

I think I'll e-mail the results for you, but might tell folks here, how long it took me and how many pages it ends up being, Hopefully, it will give folks an idea of why I don't do detailed reviews often. yikes This one though, is important to me, so I want you to know how much I'm appreciating it all! Thanks again!

Re: Please Review - http://validwebdesigns.com

come in on this late Jody
nice site - though I'd be tempted to left justify the headings - just my personal preference ....
I'd suggest changing this text "The codes listed on the following pages "
on this page http://validwebdesigns.com/characters/ as the pages do not follow on the same page, but are on the left.

One major concern is that the nav on the left is different on each page, with the rather ugly grey top nav  not being a redundant one and not fulfilling the nav process. Essentially as soon as the site is entered, the main nav functionality is lost.

Some odd things happen on the LHS nav between this page http://validwebdesigns.com/tutorials.php and this page http://validwebdesigns.com/beauty-of-css.php with soe white space on the former and not there on the latter.

On this page http://validwebdesigns.com/beauty-of-css.php you have

Other advantages with CSS

    * Need to change the size of the text?
    * Change the background color or image?
    * One page a single change.
    * Upload the change/s and voilį
    * All pages of your website have been changed.
    * Pretty cool don't you think.

these dot points are incorrectly used - some are questions others are not, so maybe some further thought there blinka

Overall i really like it, just picking the eyes out of it, which of course is the easy part LOL

in terms of dot points are used for listing items. On the usage you have, it is more like a fragmented sentence arranged into a list!

Re: Please Review - http://validwebdesigns.com

My intent with the list items was two-fold.

1. Briefly pointing out the advantages of CSS.
2. Having a list item for show on the page.

Do you think this was a bad idea or ???

Re: Please Review - http://validwebdesigns.com

just the text used would suit the use of semi colons better as  items within the flow of a sentence, or change the wording if used in a list

Also is CSS used to refer to the STYLE SHEET or the language?

Hence maybe

The use of a central style sheet allows:

    * One stop location to change font size, face, size site-wide
    * One stop location to change universally used images and colors site-wide
    * The ability to introduce or remove other template attributes and then make one stop changes that will apply site-wide
    * Only one file needs to be changed and uploaded, not many individual pages
    * Consistency - every page will have the same look, so no pages are overlooked if changing manually.
