Re: Please Review - http://www.designsconcept.com
OK... here's my comments...
It's a BEAUTIFUL site..... clean and elegant.
Where is all the design you've done? I visited three pages of text and there were no examples on the pages.
Consider adding imagery to the site.... make it more about what you've done and people will want to hire you.
The site itself is quite nice... the only criticism I can think of is to say that maybe your logo should include the name of your business and not just your initials.
Best,
Adam

Re: Please Review - http://www.designsconcept.com
Couple of quick things right off the bat. You have icons for both valid XHTML 1.0 and CSS Level 2, but when I click on them, they both show one error each. It's a good idea if you're gonna show them to make sure they still show valid.

Re: Please Review - http://www.designsconcept.com
Big improvement from the original site. Congrats on eliminating the use of tables.
things are looking great.
With the font sizing option,
It doesn't remember my selection causing me to select it each time I change pages. It either isn't setting a cookie to remember my selection or it isn't doing it properly. This could be a little irritating to someone who would really like to view your site in a larger or smaller font size.
Check your JS script with setting cookies to remember this or look into using a different script. Might also consider using a CSS style switcher similar to what I use on my site.

Re: Please Review - http://www.designsconcept.com
I'm a newbie, so consider this more of a joe-blow consumer opinion rather than techie review. The colors are very appealing, makes me want to stay & look around. The text is great, not long & blah blah blah. One thing that would keep me longer would me some pics, I know a lot of people like it if they don't have to read & the pictures tell them what they want to know. You give a download, very appealing. The contact choices are great. I hate phones.

Re: Please Review - http://www.designsconcept.com
Hi, i was browsing the net to find a javascript which lets the user change font size and sets a cookie in the browser so that it will remember the setting on the next visit however i did not find any. Anyone knows of such a tutorial please?

Re: Please Review - http://www.designsconcept.com
Have you tried just adding a cookie script to your existing JS font sizer?
I have an old JS sizer script with cookie script. I'll have to pull it out and dust it off
let me know if your interested.

Re: Please Review - http://www.designsconcept.com
It is my understanding that by default cookies are enabled.
Here is the script. According to my original notes there was a problem with it not getting the cookie information from page to page.
Hopefully it will get you closer to your objective.
Code: javascript
//Start Font Sizer
var defaultFontSize = 100;
var currentFontSize = defaultFontSize;
function revertStyles(){
currentFontSize = defaultFontSize;
changeFontSize(0);
}
function changeFontSize(sizeDifference){
currentFontSize = parseInt(currentFontSize) + parseInt(sizeDifference * 5);//Set the Increment of Sizing
if(currentFontSize > 130){//Maximum Size Setting
currentFontSize = 100;
}else if(currentFontSize < 70){//Minimum Size Setting
currentFontSize = 100;
}
setFontSize(currentFontSize);
};
function setFontSize(fontSize){
var stObj = (document.getElementById) ? document.getElementById('container') : document.all('container');
document.body.style.fontSize = fontSize + '%';
};
{
createCookie("fontsize", currentFontSize, 365);
}
function createCookie(name,value,days) {
if (days) {
var date = new Date();
date.setTime(date.getTime()+(days*24*60*60*1000));
var expires = ";expires="+date.toGMTString();
}
else expires = "";
document.cookie = name+"="+value+expires+";domain=.yourdomain.com;path=/;";//Insert your domain name
}
function readCookie(name) {
var nameEQ = name + "=";
var ca = document.cookie.split(';');
for(var i=0;i < ca.length;i++) {
var c = ca;
while (c.charAt(0)==' ') c = c.substring(1,c.length);
if (c.indexOf(nameEQ) == 0) return c.substring(nameEQ.length,c.length);
}
return null;
}
//End Font Sizer
/*
Use the following to place the sizer links on the pages.
By placing the links inside the JS script tag and using the document.write if a visitor has JS disabled they will not see the sizer options.
<script type="text/javascript">
//<![CDATA[
document.write ('<p><a href="#" onclick="changeFontSize(1);return false;">+ Text or image</a> <a href="#" onclick="changeFontSize(-1);return false;">- Text or image</a> <a href="#" onclick="revertStyles(); return false;">Default text or image</a></p>');
//]]>
</script>
*/

Re: Please Review - http://www.designsconcept.com
Forgot to mention earlier that the script is currently set for percentages. If you use pixels, points or em's you will need to change a few lines to the related settings.

Re: Please Review - http://www.designsconcept.com
Hi
I will be re-designing my website soon to cater for new features. However, before I do this I thought of asking for some feedback from your side.
1) Do you like the colour scheme currently used in my website?
2) Do you like the logo currently used to market my company (the red DC logo)
3) What would you prefer from these (as i have in mind to buy a TCC domain name):
- design concept
- designs concept
- design concepts
- designs concepts
Currently my website is: designsconcept as the domain name I needed was already taken.
4) Are there any things you do not like on the current website?
5) Would you like a minimal website or a website that has amusing user interface?
Thanks in advance,
look forward for your feedback

Re: Please Review - http://www.designsconcept.com
Hi,
I like your site. The Navigation is clean and works well and your color scheme is great. I'm a graphics newbie and self taught at that, but I do like to play with different design concepts. These would be my observations:
1. If you are promoting your graphics design you need to provide more graphic illustration especially on your home page. Your home page is clean but should have some embellishment. Too understated if you're selling design.
2. On your page with the site examples, I would only list those I could link to or maybe consider using a different format for that page. Try thumbnail screen shots for each design you did for these companies. Dead links give the impression of lost customers and even if they are no longer in business you can still use the thumbnail designs to illustrate what you did do for each of these customers.
My 2 cents. What do you think of my site? I would welcome your opinion.

Kinda hard to give any definite type of answers. I like the way your site is set up.
As for color schemes this is something that is more of a personal call. I would suggest staying away from the dark and dreary colors. Keep the bright and colorful, just not too colorful. Keep it at two or three max.
Again the logo thing is a personal call but work at getting something that could be easily recognized and remembered.
About the only thing I could see that could use changing currently is the overall height of your top navigation links. Maybe shorter bringing a little more content above the fold.
Personally, I like a site that is on the minimal page content (less scrolling per page) with a dash of humor thrown in here and there. Too much humor is off-putting.
