Hello everyone,
My name is Mia Hall, I've been subscribed to the site refernce newsletter and been a "snurfer" (-I think thats the right word) for over a year. Although, I've been in business since 1999, usually stuck n the startup phase, taking business startup classes, trying to determine my niche, prospective clients and their demographics, and also trying to build a portfolio or atleast a roster of clients with active links to the websites that I setup for them. But I'm sorry to say that my pursuits have not been profitable. I have had to sue two clients for non-payment. And last spring the roof fell in from rain water and ruined my office equipment (read-no insurance).
Soooooo..............
I'm staring over, In the words of P.Diddy: "Ain't nothing gonna break my stride- can't stop -won't stop". Hey call me a "badgirl" for life if you must. I say I am a "GoGetter!"- I am detemined to build my own and work for myself. I have over 20 years of Office experience, 15 years of IT experience and LAN certification. I am also a Certified Paralegal and Registered Income Tax Preparer, and my Real Estate License is pending.
My biggest problem: I keep getting w-2 offers for minimum wage jobs, despite my qualifications. AND when I accept trying to get my foot in the door, it backfires. They work me and all of my skills to death for little or no pay.
It is my hope that by actively participating in the group, things will turn around.
Any and all advice is appreciated.
