Your site has an amazing amount of content- the time you must have spent making it... Visually the site is generally non-notable- your titles great, though is looks a little out of place with the backing colour. Also, the picture you seem to use the same robot picture over and over- there are some really cool robot pictures on the net, why not use some of those?

webcrawler559: Thanks for your comments, and yes it did take quite a bit of time to build. The reason for the duplicate robot is this robot is used exstensively in my forum avatars.

As I notice you didn't fix some bugs, sorry for getting your topic back on top...

No, this isn't "the way coding is arranged", it's just the way you have arranged the code...
Speciffically, that overlap is due to Line 441 (-after Source Formatting and Clean Up...)
Code:
<DIV style="OVERFLOW: auto">
Instead of OVERFLOW: auto, you may use padding-top:20px; padding-right:15px; ... attributes. (Change the values suitably...)
Generally, you need to be carefull when using dual HTML coding -both table and div. The trend (and W3C recomandation...) is to get rid of table formatting, and use div whenever possible.

Site looks much better. The links at the bottom of the page make your site jump up and down because the hover font is a different size than the regular one. Makes it hard to navigate.

It might be my computer but your website did not look good at all, firstly it was all aligned to the left with a large big black space to the right. The underlined introduction is distracting likewise the 'sitemap' text reducing when the cursor is over it is off puttting. It could be an IE flaw but the text overflows into the right column, though on a positive note the text is large enough to be comfortable to read.
It is perhaps fitting the very sentence you have added "This site is designed to be viewed with <!--[if !vml]--><!--[endif]--> If you are using Microsoft's Internet Explorer, some features may not function correctly" as this sums it all up for me.
I made the mistake of clicking on the 'forum' link and then attempted to back up but for some bizarre reason the page kept on reverting to the forum page which I found quite annoying:yikes:.
Sorry

whitbycolin: Thanks for your input. However I believe that you must be using I.E for these problems to occour as in FF this does not happen. When you go to my forum a single click will not let you go back, you have to double left click to go back.

Hello Mike ... how're you doing?
Haven't been here for ages...got here by accident...had a quick look on your site and recommend you drop the file sizes of ALL your images so they load faster. One of the easiest tools to use is a Free One called Pix Resizer. It is guaranteed to make an enormous difference and will probably reduce the need for the warning about load times on your home page.
I reduced your header image from 56kb to 13.3kb in only a matter of seconds.

Yes I am using IE as I commented in in my posting, and it seems clear that is where the problem lies. I have not experienced FF and do not know the percentages of IE user over FF users, but it seems odd to me to build a website which has glitches for IE users when IE is the standard browser on computers? As such it may well put the majority of users at a disadvantage, which would be a shame as you have put lot of effort into creating the website.
As for the necessity to have to double click to get out of the forum I would find this extremely irritating and again you seem to be putting distracting barriers in the way for normal website browsers. Sorry for the negative comments but these are things that would prevent me from returning to your website.

Colin;)

That's cool whitbycolin: I prefere FF over I.E as it is Much more stable and I have never had any issues using it, Where as I.E gave me no end of problems. There are as you say probably more I.E users out there than FF,but FF is catching up fast. It is Probably the coding in I.E and seeing I'm not a coder it will Probably stay the way it is.
Thanks
Mike
