K, so we're agreed that Alexa is worthless(ish)
Still found myself looking at the top stuff today.
Anyway, long story short, I noticed some wierdness.
Top 5:
Yahoo (1st) reach: 25.171819.5%
Google (2nd) reach: 26.18%
Msn.com (3rd) reach: 21.2992399239%
youtube.com
Live.com (5th) reach: 20.861495%
So, looking at those 'reaches', what was the most popular Search Engine in the world yesterday?

Well, that's not really ' who is the most popular Search Engine' as both MSN and Yahoo! have other aspects from news and shopping to social stuff..... MSN is all about the other services as the back end of the search aspects are controlled by Live anyways.... Yahoo has a variety of services outside of simply search stuff.....
I will stick with the Nielsen NetRatings which recently pegged the active search market share at;
Google - 53.6
Yahoo! - 19.9
MSN/Live - 12.9
Also, there have been a miriad of changes going on recently with both MSN and Yahoo! that tends to see if surge to go with the PR around it... ( see; Thursday Beer Break )
..and lastly, of course, that is Alexa data. It is used by so many marketing types it is no wonder traffic went up in that segment as per the aforementioned PR around the new services/upgrades.....
I am sure the folks at Google won't be losing any sleep unless Microsoft goes out and buys/merges with Yahoo.. he he....
