Hi Waveshoppe, I read the posts on link you provided. Interesting but sad, that enduser is not always thought about in putting together some of these websites. What a waste of time and money....
I like your blog idea, but want to make sure I understand you correctly. Are you suggesting that I embed/frame a blog within my home page or that I create a blog on another site to drive traffic to my website? Also by social networking, are you referring to myspace, facebook etc... or were you thinking something else?
socalagent, real estate templates normally wont even get a review on most sites so count your blessings.
I was suggesting that you create a blog on another site to drive traffic to your website.
Yes social networking, go for more mature sites like linkedin etc. hang out with people that actually have money.

Hi Arlene
I've read the reviews so far and would just like to add a few things.
I like what you've done with your feature Listing on the RHS - very nice, interesting and informative.
I like the Featured Community Links area as well - for the same reasons as above.
I find the dark blue and white writing on the far LHS harder to read than I'm happy with - I look away because it blurs. If the blue was not so dark this wouldn't happen so I am suggesting changing away from dark blue where you have it on your site.
The middle of the page is slightly messy but it has good information. I think it just needs to be neatened up a bit. More uniformity there will focus the eyes on the centre which is where you want them to start looking :-)
I think the cartoon is cute but don't overuse it. It adds a very personal touch that I think is 'brave' , 'individual' , and 'humorous' but others might not think so.....
You have useful information and I can't see anything missing ( breaking it down to sell/buy is a great idea that has been mentioned )
You need a good banner or designed heading for your page. Something professional would be good if you could afford it - otherwise I can suggest grabbing some free fonts, find a relaxing colour scheme you like and trying to make a title banner yourself. It doesn't have to be complicated - simple means 'direct', 'elegant' 'professional' If its got too much colour or design it comes off as 'childish', 'haphazard' , 'fake'
So as a professional you want your site to look neat and clean and settled. Let the eyes follow your text naturally without bumping into bright colours or oddly placed images :-) and they will find themselves at your site for ages looking through all the info and links....
Good luck and cheers

Hi Shondamiles and Waveshoppe, thank you for your valuable insights regarding my website content and marketing ideas.
Shonda: I have a newsletter that I circulate to my prospects and clients but it is not linked to my webpage. The one on the website is provided by the template vendor. Hmmm....but now you have me thinking about putting my newsletter archives online. I am also reviewing the website to see where I can streamline and condense it.
Waveshoppe:I really like the blogging idea and will check out blogging features of LinkedIn
Thanks,
Arlene

Hi there,
To my mind, it's too busy, too many pictures, too much information on the front page. Good navigation on the left had side. Some nice, reality photos would be a huge advantage, instead of the current illustration. I hope it's not too harsh.
All best,

Hi Ktyart,
I appreciate your many useful tips to improve my website. I started working on the website color that you mentioned but didn't like the lighter blues on the page, especially after receiving feedback from others in my office. Everyone complained that the lighter blues looked unappealing or babyish on the page. So I looked into changing the font size to see if that improves visibility for the viewer. What do you think?
I liked your other ideas as well and am reviewing my website content to see where I can make changes to make it more concise and professional.
Thanks,
Arlene
