Adsense Question
A little while ago I thought I read here, but cannot find it, the answer to my question, so hopefully someone will be able to answer anew or show where it was originally asked.
On of my sites I have a page for the weather in Paris.
Ideally I would like the google ads to be for hotels in Paris - but they are for the weather and other low producing ads. Even if I filter them out more similar ones take their place.
For the content I have plenty about Paris and hotels in Paris, and in the page title.
Is there a code I can put on the page which will trigger adsense to show Paris hotel ads rather than weather ads?

Re: Adsense Question
You could try using the section tags - but you'll need a good chunk of text for that

Re: Adsense Question
usually i like to just change 1 thing at a time so i can figure out what the "trick" is...
from looking at your page Roger the first thing i would change is the Title from:
"Paris Weather And A 5 Day Weather In Paris Forecast"
to something along the lines of
"Paris Hotels And Info" (some may advise against your page title not exactly matching your page content but i think something like this is broad enough to be considered suitable)
If in a day or 2 not much changes i would then consider adding more hotel info on that page- right now keywords like "weather" far outweigh terms like "hotel" (i am definately NOT suggesting to keyword stuff but maybe bring the ratio a little closer...or remove some of the references to weather...all in all i think a better balance may work) - [or as Northis suggested use selection tag]
in any case i would change the title first to see what happens...let me know

NOW THIS is where Latent Semantic Indexing/Analysis ( LSI ) comes in. Google purchased Applied Semantics in 2003 for the AdWords/AdSense ... far more than use in the actual Regular Index. Google aquires Applied Semantics
So if you have learned the basics of LSI then you can start to better understand how to target this. It is much like Nic mentioned, except don't think kw density/weighting, think about the 'theme' of the page in terms of the most prominent topics and semantically related words/phrases.
So it has identified the topical nature of the page and that's what it is going from.
Get it?

Re: Adsense Question
Thanks Nic, Gypsy and Northie.
I will try doing some changes and seeing what happens, bit at a time.
I'll write six hotel reviews and put three at the top, three at the end to see if that changes things.

I showed Tanya the LSI tool at NichBot and if you want, she can send you some related terms to use in the content for targeting 'Paris' and 'Hotel' better....
Let Tanya know and I can send some terms/phrasings to use in the content :0)
