Powerpoint vs CSS

My question is do Powerpoint and CSS play well together?

If I use Powerpoint to build an html web, have I totally moved out of the CSS camp? I intend to use my Powerpoint selection to do slides and convert to video, or even PDF.

Powerpoint can be converted to html for webpages, but can it be CSS as well.
I noticed the advertisement for the presentation software states,  PowerPoint Template Package includes:
3 Masters, 3 Backgrounds, 3 or more palettes,
17 nice looking slides with professional pre-made  tables & charts; will this tables and chart arrangement kick me totally out of CSS.

Is there an application where both are intergrated?

Re: Powerpoint vs CSS

power point may be able to export to html, but

1 - why bother? powerpoint is completly different to webpages - even if you disagree with that
2 - powerpoint may contain media that is not compatable with the web
3 - the code it produces (html) will be microstoopid code that only works in IE7 and browsers bigger than 1600 pixels

The answer - put some effort into making web pages with the content you want to see from each slide. It shouldn't be too difficult; you'vr already written it all once!

As for CSS and powerpoint - I have no idea

Re: Powerpoint vs CSS

Powerpoint webpages? interesting concept...  i was actually given a website that a PA was making for her boss, she was doing it in publisher, then i thought - what an interesting concept to... so i did what any curious... urm... curious person would do, i previewed in web browser, it looked good.

Then i was further curious about what publisher does to get it "looking good" so i stuck my head around the corner to  see the back-end... it was a huge bladdy mess - and in a sense this program is meant to publish sites to the web?! The reason i have gone through this aab story is to push the point that microsoft does not make pretty code in programs that by all means "should" be making decent code.... so please, for the sake of the internet and people who stumble upon be sent to your site... dont use a microsoft program that is not designed solely for webpagesto create a webpage... it will just dissapoint you and upset your visitors.

On the upside though, css works brilliantly with html - http://www.w3schools.com/ - give it a bash tummenupp
