Of all companies, Microsoft has submitted its HD Photo format to the Joint Photographic Experts Group (JPEG).

Yeah, my thoughts exactly. I'm anxious to compare images side by side; see the difference between JPEG and HD Photo - they're claiming better quality and smaller size.
Time will tell....
