Don't have a lot of time to work on this site, so just wanted to get the very basics out and running.

Yup, you have the very basics.
You may want to take a look and correct the coding for your affiliate links on the coupons page.

thanks, I think I am getting the newsletters based on a site i no longer have and have to change the ids in the links
Maybe could make a redirect script that also looks for the wrong uid and replace them before redirect / logging as well ..
be nice to be able to click on the items in "popular searches"
is it going to be like a http://www.google.com/products but for tech products with coupons?
as a start it looks fine but there is very little to comment on...i look forward to seeing it when there's more "meat" on there
great start

Yes, very much like google products, except I want to eventually map the coupons to the products so when you do a search, I can show a link to a coupon you can use along with the price of the item, and yes only for "tech" items.
One of the things I plan to do is have categories that work the same as the search, but with predetermined search words. I was thinking of updating these categories based on the popular search terms (overture api hook) on the fly weekly so as the global market shifted to say, include iphones, my site would automatically shift to feature these popularly searched terms. So, it keeps the site fresh, up to date, and keyword rich.
