I guess my site is blocked from systems that are set up to block websites with sexually explicit content. (how does a nice girl like me get into trouble like this?)
Is it possible to reverse this? I am working on my site (giving it an overhaul) and removing language having to do with "sexy". Will this help over time?

Hi all,
I have been busy redoing my site and trying to implement the advice from here.
Now I know this will suprise you;), but I think I created another problem for myself...
I changed the urls of a couple pages, and then I was reminded that I already had a duplicate content problem. Have I prolonged my agony? I am guessing a 404 page for the old urls is not enough?
(PS. Thanks to Steven for the HTML Validator tool and instructions. It's slick and easy.)

when the mis-interpretation and testosterone dies down, let have a look at your keywords and some of the 'textual' content.
See if we can see what filters it may be tripping
'tis true that google only shows site's it thinks of an adult nature when the query is pretty clear/explicit about what it wants - ie no clever LSI for adult sites
Sure thing... I am redoing the content language so the changes take time, correct?
In the meantime, everyone can still enjoy the humor of my naivete... (or my spelling.)

Hi,
I had to take a week off. Every summer I work for artist transportation for the Bayfront Blues Festival in Duluth, MN.
I'd tell you who I met this year, but I don't have a broom and dustpan to clean up if I start dropping names.
Just thought I'd say: Haven't quit; haven't given up; and it's back to work on the site.

I don't know how much Google et al pay attention to this, but I'd try throwing this tag in your <head> area:
<meta name="rating" content="general">
This meta tag was originally conceived as a way to filter websites using a voluntary self rating system (Kids, General, Mature, and Restricted).
As for managing changes in location of web pages, this is best handled by doing a 301 redirect. This however is a class all on it's own. It looks like you are on a Unix based Apache server, so you should be able to set it up in an .htaccess file.
For every page you are changing the address on, you would put a line like this in the .htaccess page:
Redirect 301 /old/old.html http://www.you.com/new.html
The /old/old.html is the location of the page from the root of your site. The new location is at the end as a complete url (including http://)
you would put the .htaccess file in the root directory of your web site.
If however you just remove a page from your site altogether, the 404 is the best, as it tells Google that the page no longer exists.
Hi everyone,
After re-doing my site and letting things settle a bit for the last month, my site is back on the radar. I guess it's time to come in off the beach and get to work... and time to catch up.

Hi there.
What a rotten time of life I have had lately. Its one thing after another, with family and friends and jobs. Most recently, I lost my beloved Persian to cancer. I have been trying to sit back down and work again, but am not finding a starting point.
Just wanted to stop in and breathe.

Oh bugger...I feel for you Jeannie...We don't know each other from a bar of soap, but if sending some love over to you would help - that's what I'd like to do.
