Hello Joan,

In general I will give a to your site. Found it very interesting, informative and easy to navigate.

On the technical side

1. Consider using text for your navigation. If a visitor has images disabled they have no way to move around your site.


2. Some of the pages are a few pixels wider than others. Correct this to maintain even more consistency throughout the site..


3. The stick figures on the right, What is the purpose? I did find this small item slightly distracting

You have not declared a DocType, a DTD is important to help insure your pages display the way you want them to with different browsers.

I won't list them, you have 183 code errors on the home page alone.

Ah...the truth emerges

I see you used Yahoo! Site Builder to create this site. Most likely the cause of the 183 coding errors the CE mentioned.

Expanding on our PM conversation and my experience with Yahoo I have one major suggestion that I'm sure most will agree with...

LEAVE YAHOO!

Several reasons -

1. Yahoo restricts access to files created with SiteBuilder, so its a royal pain to change HTML code.
2. Yahoo! is a rip off - Hosting provided elsewhere is better and cheaper than Yahoo!
3. SiteBuilder creates a bunch of useless and invalid code.
4. Non user-friendly hosting control panel.

What I mean by the last one is that there are hosting providers that pretty much GIVE you the hosting. I was paying $2.99 a month for my hosting before I switched. Included with other providers is a service called cPanel. For beginners, it makes it VERY easy to handle anything you need - Email accounts, FTP accounts, Script and Software installations, and much more.
