Does 'Pay Per Post' marketing/advertising work?

Has anyone tried sites like Blogvertiser  and ReviewMe?

I have signed up for these services as a blogger, but haven't really recieved a lot of assignments? Is there a better way I can market myself to these services?

Looking for opinions of others who've used the service. Both as advertisers and bloggers, is it worth it?

Tks.

I'd have to say NO - but I suppose it can't hurt to sign up.....

I don't have a ton of faith in PPP and so on...

Re: Does 'Pay Per Post' marketing/advertising work?

G'day JP.

I've signed up to Blogvertise about a month ago. Received very few jobs and they've paid very poorly. I need two or three jobs a week paying at least AU$25 each, to make it worthwhile.

To reserch a post and write it takes me well over an hour. Suppose I could get quicker. They are getting some well indexed backlinks for their client and paying me US$2. Not on!

Of course, if you see it from Blogvertise' viewpoint, my blog is new and not getting the traffic.

But from my viewpoint, the backlinks are there, and the effort is worth much more.

As it is, I'm stuck with posts and links on my blog for the rest of time, for a lousy US$2 each.

If Blogsvertise is to keep me, they'll need to lift their game. I certainly won't be polluting my other blogs with cash for comment.

Ohh! Monetizing a website is a bother!

Regards,
Laurie.
