Sub-Domain Setup
I'd like to set up a personal site that doesn't need to be indexed by search engines. How do you set up a sub-domain, and do you have to register it or pay a fee?
Example:
Say the main domain is xyz.com .
Sub domain would be abc.xyz.com .
Your help would be appreciated [simple step-by-step].

Re: Sub-Domain Setup
G'day Ken. Welcome to the forum.
Do you already own the domain xyz.com? If so, you create a subdomain in your control panel or else create a new folder using your FTP.
There is plenty of free web space around. If that's what you're looking for, you need to a bit more forthcoming about what you want to do. Possibly a free Yahoo site is what you need, but then, maybe you need a free blog.
What do you want to do, Mate? Sounds like it needs to be an online, WISIWYG site builder.
Regards,
Laurie.

You should be able to set up sub-domains from your hosting control panel.
Then simply use a NOINDEX/NOFOLLOW to stop the bots from indexing (assimilating) it....

Re: Sub-Domain Setup
