help! my site was hacked. i thought i fixed it, but now theres something making it so the root dir looks for another index page >.<

SoraCross, I am not an expert nor qualified as a hacker....however, that being said, you should have a backup. So....dump everything off the server and upload all your files.

Evidently, a hacker has hidden a file. That is the sure way, and most secure way.

I deal with viruses, hackers are a different breed, but security is always my concern. Let me know if you need further help.

If you don't have your own backup of the site, you may want to check with you web host on their backup policy.  They may be able to recover the lost files.  You should also let them know that your site was compromised, so they can see if others on the server were as well, and see if they can find where the compromise occurred and fix it.  It will do you no good to restore your site if the hackers still have a back door set up.  And don't forget to change your passwords.

nah, the hacker was just a script kitty, and i took away his door.
