Christmas SEO

Have you started yet? [for Xmas 2007, i mean!]

Now that I'm working on selling a range of products that can be targeted for different people, different times of year and both I thought it'd be a good idea to start looking at seasonal SEO.

The overture KWST now shows February's search terms, so that's pretty good data for valentines day.

I was wondering if people had specific keyword lists they used for the festive season? Are these festive keywords generic to all industries, or do you rename your products for different times of years.

Thought I'd start this thread as a sounding board for seasonal SEO tips, tricks and ideas

glad

Re: Christmas SEO

Talking odf seasonal I paid someone here in the UK £500 and gave them the content in November for a new travel site to be put together for a ski resort, with a promised delivery date of 18 December, just in time for the ski season.

I heard yesterday it might be ready this week. Should be good for 2008.

Re: Christmas SEO

our traffic usuallly spikes 3-4x on Halloween since right about that time people take to the internet to find something scary

Re: Christmas SEO

Mutelated one, you should check out costumes if thats your time of year, i obviously dont celebrate halloween... that would be aab but i do however end up at a s##t load of dress up parties... ive spent ages googling for costume ideas and there is zilch when it comes to relevance.... check it out and maybe you can push up to 5 or 6x
