Can anyone help with my newsletter ?

I'm about to start up my newsletter again, would anyone be willing to have a look at the first issue and give me any marketing feedback ?

If you wouldn't mind takeing a look at my newsletter, PM your e-mail and I will forward you my test copy ( don't worry, I won't put you on my mailing list ).

Also, if anyone can recommend something to send HTML e-mail to a list of about 4,000 people I would really appreciate it.  I would prefer something PHP based and GPL licensed that uses mySQL, but even a Windows program that would send HTML mail from my desktop would work if its free, I don't need anything to maintain the list and opt-in/opt-outs I've already got that part covered.

Re: Can anyone help with my newsletter ?

I use dadamail to send newsletters - only issue is it needs to be throttled back to whatever your host will allow for email traffic (mine is 150ph) sub/unsub support, html - cannot personalise though

Or goup mail http://www.infacta.com/gm.asp?a=quicklinks is free for the basic version - can personalise - no sub/unsub

would be interested to hear of others....esp those that I can send emails via ISP and that auto handle sub/unsub, html upport, personalisation..free

Re: Can anyone help with my newsletter ?

I'm using this program right now called "constant contact".  Its a demo version, so I am only sending to 100 people while I figure it out.  I really like it, but its soooo expensive.  I will use it for 60 days for evaluation ( while I use it to make HTML mail templates he he he ) but I just can't see paying $75.00 month for a list my size.  Nice features though, just beaucoup $$ .

I will look into those e-mailers, if nothing else I will just write my own.  SMTP isn't hard, and all I really need is something that I can feed a template html mail too and let it send the mails slowly enough that my ISP won't complain.

M1 -- you may want to try these also; they're the most reliable and your ISP won't choke:

Newsletter - font is too big - makes reading hard. Also suggest more paragraph breaks in each section

M1 ~

I also found Constant Contact to be toooooo expensive, but loved the features!  Have you tried MyNewsletterBuilder?  I've found it to be a good first step and affordable, even for a large list.  (Use username "decluehgp".)

HTH.  cool

Re: Can anyone help with my newsletter ?

I use Active Campaign's 12All software.  Its pretty fast - 4000 emails will take it no time at all.  Pretty simple setup, you can pull HTML from a web page, and a nice archival system.

I had to get a dedicated server for it, but I am also sending out nearly 200,000 emails.
