I have been trying to remove meta tags that were on my site prior to my recent upgrade but haven't been successful.  What could be the issue as to why these meta tags can't be deleted?  Could I be deleting incorrectly?  I deleted everything between the opening and closing Heads.

download all your html/template files

open them in a plain text edit (such as textpad)

Delete the tags in your text editor

upload and overwrite existing files

that is a peculiar question? Some FTP programs can be Di**s and not let your changes upload, its some sorta protection i guess, mine does it to. As northie said, just copy the old files off the web, edit and overwrite, like stealing candy from a 100pound baby.. it only looks hard If that doesnt work... well, um, yeah.
