Well the title got your attention !!
Right theres a billion things on SR forums that all annoy me the same.
frikkin links!!!
I HATE offsite links not opening new windows/tabs.
Fairy snuff onsite links remaining in the same window thats, thats a given and a damn good idea. but offsite?
On phpBB any links posted in a siggy or post will automatically fire a new window unless the client has set it otherwise.
Could you employ a similar function on here?
Honestly, its a good idea.
I think i saw a function on direct drive that forces offsite links to open a new window.
Rant over.
thanks
What -- you don't like using the back button / arrow at the top of the browser?

Shift click, new window. Control click, new tab (IE7 & FF).
Somehow I don't think that's what you're after...
either that or middle click in firefox

I agree with griff,
Now it's ingrained in me to right-click and choose 'open in new window'
Why don't i use then back button?
Simple - the link i follow may be a good reference, i may want to follow more links within that new page, even log in. maybe i get to to one of those pages where you can't use the back button cos of those silly JS redirects.
Most importantly, I don't want to be away from SR long enough to be logged out of SR!

YEah, thats actually been rubbing me the wrong way to... i like staying on SR and following the other links without worrying about clicking the back button many... many times. I wont lie though, it is a built in mecanism to right click and open in a new tab now so im over it i guess? Good rant though Griff

yeah, but right clicking to open in a new tab narks me!!
I cant count how many "reviews please" post links ive followed, then clicked around the site abit. When i realise ive lost SR to a history of about 20 pages, i lose my rag and shut the window. resulting in a narked off naffing off to some other site or to read my email while i calm down abit.
i know its only a little thing, but its the little things that get my goat.
Like the youngest and middle fighting behind me as the eldest sings out of tune at his mp3 player while i type this
SHUT THE **** UP!!!!!!!!
gotta go, need mogadon or something.............................
