blocking spam by subject
I'm getting more and more spam everyday to the tune of several hundred messages per day
and altough those viagra offers sound very tempting its getting to be a bit too much
what's happening is i am getting the same spam over and over from diff email addresses but all have the same subject lines
so blocking addresses won't work.... anyone know of a way to block spam using subject lines?

Re: blocking spam by subject
I only use Viagra to keep from falling out of bed...
Okay; back to the subject -- check to see if your email has a filtering ability as shown on these sites

Re: blocking spam by subject
I have a very similar problem. After escalating this to the very highest level of tech support with my hosts, it was suggested that I have all of my email forwarded to a Yahoo! email account. At first I was almost insulted, but I gave it a try. To my surprise the spam filter is about 90% accurate and saves me soooo much time it was worth it.
I know I might get some crap for saying this but it worked for me.
Unless you want to seriously restrict access to yourself via email IMO you must deal with the spam.

Re: blocking spam by subject
Dann - you won't get any crap over that; it's why I exclusively use Yahoo email...

Re: blocking spam by subject
the rules cut down a lot of it but now the crafty little buggers known as spammers are using images instead of text... (besides Yahoo) any way to filter those?

Re: blocking spam by subject
I've been using a free program from Trend Micro called "Trend Micro Anti-Spam for nearly a year. A few spam e-Mail will slip by, but it catches most of them. The download is at http://www.trendmicro.com/en/products/d … erview.htm
I hope this helps
