I know, just rumors again, but is this really going to happen?
I thought the comments from others would be interesting...some may even rant...maybe I should just duck and run while the goin' is good (a strategy I sometimes employ).

I wouldn't expect it given Yahoo!'s past. Google already has 10%. I think the whole thing was started up by stock holders and hedge funders.
I bought my Yahoo! stock when it was $2 - $14 a share. Now if I was a smart investor or MAJOR stock holder I might be apt to author something like this. Honestly though I see the big three going in three different directions.
BTW I sold my Goog stock in November like Cramer said and invested in Yhoo and so far I have not been let down.
Goog peaks and valleys much too extreme for my meager finances. As far as a huge buyout I would not hold my breath. These are several very hard headed corporations they will not yield to competition very easily.
What do I mean? We couldn't beat you so we'll buy you.
Take what we see as entertainment, not too many years ago Americas Funniest Home Videos was super popular in the states, I don't know about everywhere else. Jackass was super popular and even spawned a full length movie, But how long did the interest last?
Long enough to make a few people rich, but how long is the audience going to be encapsulated in home made low quality video even delivered over broadband connections.
I can't see it. Video ads? Not on my browser. Audio? Not on unless I am listening to music.
So you ask WHAT IS YOUR POINT?
At this point in time you cannot merge these technologies. They are separate entities with separate audiences.
And the last time I checked surfers prefer speed over flash and crap that says "wait screen loading"
I have waited ZERO times.
