I did a quick search for firebug http://www.getfirebug.com/ which only showed one reference to it.
I've been playing around with it and found it to be very helpful in debugging layout problems and determining which CSS rules (inherited or not) are managing your code at any point. It has tools to locate DOM objects quickly, debug javascript... Too cool.
Those of you with IE might consider installing Firefox (as a second browser if you wish) for this tool alone.
Worth a look if you're not already using it.
I'm already using it, as it's handy to have but, takes some getting used to, as there's no "help" available -- play with it and see what all is buried rather deep.
I'm liking it. Very nice find.

Starting to do a lot of javascript, DOM modding, web-2 and AJAX; and find this tool amazingly useful
You can see the 'generated' HTML in real time that's outputted by your javascript
And, now we have another goodie for FF users; I've been using this for over 3 weeks and really like Search Status

Yep, got that one, then removed it shortly after
Just not my thing really - but I agree with it in principle
Just tried it out, very very helpful.
