Well done, but I think your term isn´t competitive
Edit: ähm, I don´t understand, maybe.
Edit: Ok, think I got it, the first thing that comes in my mind is: every good thing becomes commercial,

Read that this morning -- to me, it reeks of COMMUNISM and I signed the petitions.
How did that 1 get on there? I thought I told my editor to stop drinking and publishing?!?
Hahah…just messing with you Lynn…..
It’s a great piece and as you said before very timely! It concerns us all and people should be aware of these issues.
We (once again I’m trying to take credit for Mark’s work
) submitted it to Digg for you so everyone that supports it should go Digg it here: http://www.digg.com/tech_news/Keep_the_Internet_Free
Thanks Nic and Mark - I voted for it!

Communism is not bad (in theory)!
This smells like commerce and lobbying and is an effect of free enterprise.

Link bait... seen the same re-hashed story before.

Oh! Obviously proud of the work, or wouldn't have contributed it, but I wasn't expecting this many response. LOL
Eh, I know it wasn't conducive to my keywords, but it sure is conducive to keeping my stuff online for merely the cost of my ISP.
Thanks for Digging it, literally.
Thanks, everyone. I am getting pretty worried about the telecommunications giants, especially given that all three forms of media in this city are controlled by them, and our beliefs rarely are the same as theirs. What would I do for a hobby, if they win?!

If you enjoy Communism and being told what to do; what not to do; etc -- you can keep it ... I for one, enjoy my rights and freedoms, and will do whatever it takes to keep Communism out of America!

He did say in theory. Of course the theoretical version of communism hasn't ever been put into practice as far as I know (not in Russia, China, or North Korea). existing and past versions of communism have been affected by the precept that power corrupts. As for me, I'll take Democracy since it doesn't appear that idealist communism (think Star Trek TNG) is attainable.

thats the problem with Communism - exercising your freedom of opinion gets you shot or sent to the gulag
anyway, Net Non Netrality doesnt seem like communism to me, rather it seems like gross capitalism in its worst possible most extreme form. Capitalism is a wonderfull and the best system going, don't get me wrong - but corporate greed can't be left unchecked when corporations have so much influence on the political process

My definition of communism is kind of revolution and stands for a chance to live together in freedom and peace without racism, spreading poor/rich and respect to different cultures, lifestyles and nations.
Last edited by aknet47 (2006-12-15 11:32:10)Theory is nothing more than a particular conception or view of something to be done or of the method of doing it; a system of rules or principles -- hence, my view of Communism ... something I fought against during 2 tours of 'Nam, and therefore, I will stand with my feet firmly planted on my conviction / views.
May be 2 different languages to you and others - but, I'm standing on what I believe having seen Communism; Capitalism and Socialism first-hand ... that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

well if you want to be taken seriously how about using the real definition of communism instead of just making up one on your own ?

I´m telling you my practical knowledge of communism in austria, yes?
This kind of political interest is based on the idea of marx and is influenced by newer theories and knowledge of the world and economy.
Many peaceful and critical minded people I know, are communists.
