Hey all,
I have a member that can't access this forum...i've been wroking with him for days on this and have tried about everything...anyone have any more suggestions? Here's the issue
"when I try to Logon - it accepts and it tells me I am logged- then redirects me back to the forum site - where it tells me I am NOT logged on and can therefore read only ...
I have tried on both Firefox and IE6 with the same result. I don't have problems logging into any other site."
We have tried everything we can with his cookies
please help!

CE has got it.
It's probably the firewall settings.
Have ur client temporarily disable McAfee, Norton, or, if on DSL, have phone company to allow acess setting opened..
If client is using IE browser, same thing. Change settings to allow access. Once client ican login, these settings can be re-set, no problem.
will relay the message and have him try...thank you and will let u know!

Thanks everybody - especially Nic for keeping going with my small problem when I am sure he had better things to do.
Now I can go update my profile, respond to the guys reviewing my site etc ....
By the way the reason was the Firewall was blocking a URL called:
ads.site-reference.com
All I had to do was add the
forums.site-reference.com URL
and allow it and hey presto ....................
Thanks again I will remember this one for the future.
woo hoo...welcome aboard Dave!
Thanks so much for all the help CJ, CE and Northie....lost enough hair on that 1
