Looks like someones lame attempt at adsense revenue, link bait, and a way to boost their other site... some hippo video crap.

How is it an invasion of anyones privacy ?  You can clearly see that if you search for something what you search for is displayed along with everyone elses - If you're concerned about your privacy then just don't search.

Its kind of interesting idea.  Fun to search for weird stuff and make it pop up there.

I believe this is was inspired by the inadvertant AOL release of search data. More info can be easily found by Googling "AOL releases data".
