WHOA!!!!!
Dood, wtf?
I went back to take a deeper look, and noticed something. Normally, I probably wouldn't say anything, but....
I seen a thread on webmaster world where someone posted something about their site was hosted like www.domain.com/home1/index.htm
and
www.domain.com/home2/indext.htm
Was it you asking the question?
I took a look at your root domain, and people here would probably argue with me, but.... i'm guessing that since the nature of the root domain is nothing more than some affiliate links, banner ads, etc... that google is confused about what the heck this entire domain is all about.
It's possible that google adjusted, or implemented a new filter where the entire domain needs to be more consistent.
Your root domain is a mess of.... well, EVERYTHING. Links to iraq war news, ebay, sony, you name it. hahahah
Not sure what the story is behind this, but I would SERIOUSLY consider getting a single, separate domain for your site.
Could someone else here tell me if I'm full of crap or not??

My site has been much the same, in Google for about a month, during which time I had quite a lot of sales, now I can't find it anywhere when I search for my keywords.
I have about 300 pages indexed it seems but some the robots haven't picked up yet.
The ironic thing is that when I search my competitors keywords, the same guys show up everytime and it looks like they've done a lot less SEO than I have with regards to titles, descriptions and keyword tags, just thinking I might be over doing the SEO thing, the site has been up for 10 weeks.
Have attempted to put the site name in the sig, not sure if it's going to show though.

On holidays man.. this SEO stuff is work ya know..... lol... yuck
Besides... the new year is approaching.. I am looking to staff this bad boy and GTF away from SEO a bit.. I have what? 1100 posts here since Sept and another 600+ at WWS, 350+ at DP and more... just since June or so this year? Gonna go mad bro... ( and just imagine the email help he he)....
This is why it is nice to see U doing 'your thang' out there on the dance floor .. make a dude proud .. sheeeucks.....
I assume U R back to work?? Or just hanging on the boards from home?

I've been at work... drudging my way through.
Been developing my link profile for all my work sites. Not much time has been spent doing work for my personal site tho. Rankings have been improving across the board, and search results have never looked better..... at least in my sector.
Still got a couple of thorns in there, but I'm hoping that either I'll beat them, or the LSI will wake up and knock them out.
SEO? Been offering help here when I can. I've sort of taken an interest in this thread, and a few others.
Much more inventory and shopping cart work to do on the back end, but we're looking forward to a fruitful season.
I'm glad you guys are all caught up now.... can we get back to the subject here? No one is yet to make any sense of what has been going on with what works best with Google.
I tried to make my home page a directory of sorts to my blogs and others. It was fine for a month, and now I'm down to about 3rd to 8th place on G with some of my blog posts.
My webstats show how many times G crawls my site, so the explanation of having affiliate links and such don't really make much sense. I have seen other similar sites doing the same thing and are not affected.
Till this date I am not paying for any type or form of advertising. Is it time that maybe I start investing in some.... maybe Google Adwords?

Wow... have you ever considered selling lessons on how to shoot yourself in the foot? Look a gift horse in the mouth? anything that makes people feel like they owe you their help?
if i were you i would keep up the seo, make sure there is nothing that google would consider spam and hope for the best, i just got back from a 10 day holiday and found my site on PR 4 and 1200 links.... when i left i was on PR5 and had 1467 links.... poo happens, best case scenario, wash your shoe off and keep on walkin.
Wait for google to finish whatever the hell they are up to and things should start looking up

My up and coming... soon to be real website... www.thewebguy.co.za (one day i will finish it
)Quite agree, Ryan.
I changed one word on our home page and it went from No1 to No6 (we'd been at No1 forever). I put the word back and we're back at No1.
Basically you have 4 choices when the excrement heads towards the air circulation device:
Give up
Grin and bear it
Move with the groove (sorry if my 70's childhood is showing).
Do something different
Google has been all over the shop in the last few weeks. We must have lost thousands of dollars as a result but we're coming back up again now. When it first happened I had to fight back the impulse to panic - I must confess - but I'm glad I didn't now.
So go out there and keep on slugging!

Steve.. I already told ya.. the site is 10 weeks old. I wouldn't expect to be getting rankings on any quality terms at this point. You could nail a few 'long-tail' terms... but that's about it
What's the URL?
What terms fell off?
Generally speaking new sites can have a little love early and then fall off. It is not unsusual

I make TOTAL sense of how things work, that's why I get paid for it. You have been given a bunch of answers already.. don't like them? PAY ME.. and I shall 'make sense' of it.

)Gotta love the sarcasm....
I don't expect anyone to owe me anything, if you feel that way by what I wrote, then you are taking these posts way too seriously bud.
And I thought this forum was to help each other, not another advertising medium for "SEO" services?!!?!?
Lol.... typical

Sarcasm makes the world go round
Dont be so shocked when you get tuned for being 01110000 01101001 01110011 01110011 01111001 . //* i love this stuff
If something doesnt make sense, ask nicely and it will... tune about it and nobody will want to help you without getting a paycheck.. tis life.

Your site is young, slow down to a medium panic, its probably the best advice we can give you at this point.

)Similar thing happened a week ago to my site. I have not changed it, it is still indexed, not in the supplemental. Just a couple of months ago the site finally got out of the sandbox, started to get 70% of the total traffic from Google. I was so happy about that, but the traffic from Google stopped as unexpextedly and suddenly as it appeared. Although, it is not completely true, I still get some traffic from Google, but it has decreased by 10-fold. Can't understand what it was about? The sandbox does not let it go without a struggle?...Time will tell.

Iam from Buenos Aires sorry for my english.
The more important topic for having the top´s positions in google or any search engine are title´s,
for example for the prase: gears of war cheat codes
you must do this: not use gear cheat code
but use gears of war cheat code
but no like you do it: Gamers Lounge » Gears of War|Cheat codes, Guides, and more
the best way it is: Gears of War|Cheat codes becouse gears, cheat and cheat codes must have 25% of density and this changes from time to time, now is like this. when you write something like this War|Cheat it is considers as only one word.
you got it? ask for anything, I wrote quickly I was working in some web´s

hmmmm.... interesting
so you have the keyword "war|cheat" so now it is not "war" and "cheat" it is actually "warcheat"?.... as far as i know (if im wrong i WILL be corrected) if i have the keyword "laughter" im not going to found by someone looking for... say... "slaughter".... so in essence you will need someone to type in "warcheat" to be found? Does that happen often? Or if i had the keyword "s|laughter" i should be found for "slaughter" and "laughter"?
