Hi All,
I thought i'd just share this little sceret with you.
I've been running some MFA sites (made for adsense) for the last few months and I've been looking through my logs.
On some pages I have a large leader board and a wide skyscraper
On other pages I have a 336*280 square and a 200*200 square
approx CTRs
large leadeboard: 1%
wide skyscraper: 0%
large rectangle: 10%
small square: 3%
If you have a low CTR then the adverts google send you will pay less per click
So I'm takin off the adsense that doesn't convert well, in the hope of driving up my over all CTR, and hense the bid price of the ads google wants me to show
Clever, huh?

you could consider replacing the worst performing ones with targetted azoogle links through showmoneyads
shoemoneyads is a nice idea. anyone else had an invite or played with it?

I think placement on the page needs to be addressed as well. Makeas a huge difference.
Plus page integration visually.

Depending on visitor stats, page purpose etc, I would do the same. (take them off)
I have 3 or 4 affiliate income streams so can always replace an adsense block with something else if the CTR is falling. My sites are designed to bring in money through affiliate commissions so page placement and design are very important to me - I know what will work and what won't; and continually check to make sure.
It is very true about the adsense CTR and bid price, I took AdSense off my home page for just that reason (no one's supposed to look at my home page, it's just there as a 'hub' in case people do find it)
I trust you are doing everything right, after all - it's your site, you know best. But, if you want to PM me the site I'll happily take a look and offer advice..........

the other issue could be 4 ad blocks on one page - overkill isn't it?

Read it again, AE is talking about two different pages with 2 blocks on each page
