Soon, I would like to calculate the CTR of a site that I'm building with a handful of people.
But if one page has three separate google ad boxes, will it show up as 3 impressions, when only ONE person loaded the page??
Thanks in advance...

really?
I'm sure that the adsense reports are based on page views, rather than #adsense blocks
ha ha ha 200%CTR the other day
Spoiler:
out of context - looking at just one page, that had one view, got two clicks
(2 / 1) * 100% = 200%

Mr Stich - are you planning on putting 3 different blocks on the page because you're building it with different people and are going to each have an adsense block ?
If so, I would be carefull that you don't end up getting spidered 3 times as much. I don't know that it works that way or anything so it could be nothing, but I would check my server logs real good and see.
It might be a better idea to rotate the AdSense client # amoung your partners. I know a couple sites where they use more than one persons' AdSense account and thats what they do instead of display three different client blocks on the same page.
Of course if I just misunderstood what you were trying to do you can just ignore this

I have adsense on my blog so ad appears on the bottom of each post -- when viewed as the permanent URI
On the mail page, thoughh this means several ads can be shown serval times - and my stats indicate this is seen as ONE impresson

hahah... no
The blocks are all mine, just three separate blocks on a single page.
When one person views that page, will google report that as ONE impression?

Hopefully this helps answer your question
A page impression is generated every time a user views a page displaying Google ads. We will count one page impression regardless of the number of ads displayed on that page. For example, if you have a page displaying three ad units and it is viewed twice, you will generate two page impressions and six ad unit impressions.
