Hi guys - first plea for assistance from a new member here
I was just wondering if someone could tell me how to remove that annoying border from Flash in IE - the one where you have to click the Flash to activate it before any of the menus etc will work...
it's for this site which I'm just developing, but it would just be great to know in general!

Thanks very much in advance
Mike

ha ha ha - that will remove the entire flash
I think he just wants to remove the border
Perhaps you can just make an animated GIF instead of a flash movie ?

Did you get it fixed Mike? Unless there is something I can't see I had no problems and did not see a border.

Nope, I never found out how to sort it
(although to be fair, this thread was the sum total of my efforts)
Anyway, if you use Firefox, you won't encounter the problem (and perhaps the new IE too as I havent installed it yet).
In IE though, it's not a border per se - it's just that you have to click the area of Flash initially to activate it, before you can use any of it... menus etc contained in flash.
A more obvious example is on my homepage - www.virtualdesigns.co.uk where there is an animated image menu generated in flash.
Know what I mean now guys? Sorry for calling it a border - that wasnt the most accurate thing to call it as the border only appears when you hover over it.

I believe I've found several solutions, but you'll need to go thru the first 4 or 5 links to determine which solution fits your needs -- remove flash border
typing "remove flash border" into google.
it seems such a simple solution but jesus, sometimes you just dont do it, do you?
thanks man, i'll have a fish through them tomorrow (its 3.40am here now so a bit too late for learning stuff!)
