U know...since AdSense does come up and other paid stuff, a Search Engine Marketing board wouldn't hurt....

For those of you who haven't read my AdSense as a Business Model article then here's a few questions for thought.

How many other people are targetting these keywords?

How many people are searching for these terms?

How will you get your pages ranking well for these against all the other pages targetting the same words?

Going after phrases like this, without further research, will yeild a very poor ROI

G'day all

I have found that AdSense adds do not pay what they show on a search of specific words due to the fact that an advertiser can change what he will pay for his add to be clicked in their contents adds. So therefore the content add that comes to your site because you have the expensive keyword attracting it does not neccessarily get you a large payment. Plus the click fees shown is maybe the gross amount but we only get a small percentage of the Nett amount.

yes I am noticing payment per click on amny terms is down to as little as 4 cents on terms I imagine a min worthwhile cost to the merchant would be 20c plus- not uncompetitive terms either. Google's slice seems to be getting bigger
