Anyone who has not read the article in today's newsletter Latent Semantic Indexing: What Is It? should do so. Very good, clearly written and educational.

I read the article and it explained to me why I was seeing so many crap pages on google searches. I even wrote google and asked why all these nonsense pages were showing up on keywords I used to search. Now I know.....
But now that latent semantic indexing has been explained, what's to keep the unscrupulous from must modifying their adsense-producing pages to include more specific keywords?
Will it ever end? It's probably been the most difficult challenge I've faced as a webmaster, to constantly have to complete with nonsense sites that somehow outrank every site I have.
I hope google can stop them.

It can be done, but the pages it turns out are just as bad - think there's some more stuff in the algo that can filter it out.
We noticed that good grammar helps in the SERPS; hard to write a quick app that implements good grammar
