Can the Traffic Exchanges be really taken serious as  marketing tools? Im using them for a while but no sales.

Wat experience do you have?

Never used them, never would. It's my job to GENERATE traffic.... not exchange it.

Most likely its just trash - but if you use your imagination and realize that the traffic you're getting is completely untargeted and random, you can still make it worth while. Just adjust your expectations.

Traffic Swarm is always bugging me about joining and promise all this traffic, I checked out their web site and their members web sites and they all looked like their web sites were designed by 6 year olds from an Alabama trailer park.....abolutely no sense of style, asthetics, organization, nothing....large text plastered all over the place and the worst colors imaginable. I dropped them like a toilet seat and never looked back.....Traffic Swarm is supposed to be the largest and best of all the Traffic Exchange sites....if they were the best, I really would hate to see the worst one...lol. Incidently, they don't care where they place your web site ad/ banner either.....they don't put them in like minded web sites......you could have a PC software web site and be placed next to a bunch of automobile parts web sites...take a pass on traffic exchanges.

It has some viral tools(i use their text Ads on my site) that ca bring more visitors to my page from others, who use those on their sites. That's why im using it.

It's funny two days ago I was wondering if these two sites were serious (traffic swarm and traffic exhange since they were on a Sitepro News/exactseek Webmaster newsletter), and since they were free, I subscribed but I didin't include yet thier link code that you have to insert in the html of your site.... I am not sur of their efficacity...but I'm also too young and inexperienced to answer ....sorry:blush:

I used traffic swarm and another service that promise huge amount of traffic few months ago just to test system out. Here is what i found after using them for a couple of weeks . Almost 99.99% of the users exit without exploring the site ( clicking on links ) so i guess those traffic gained was useless for me but those services maybe useful for you depending on the type of site you have.

Yes, the surf-traffic from TrafficSwarm is not really the same as You get it naturally, but it is better than the common traffic exchanges and Im betting more on the traffic, that i get from other sites thru TrafficSwarm ads(similar to AdSense). Not much traffic but i have not find better viral tool yet.

trash. why? it's exchanged traffic, meaning it's most likely popped up. if i get popped i get pissed off and if i'm p'd i don't return to a site let alone purchase from it.

the problem with traffic exchanges is that the traffic is usually unrelated to what your site is doing so it's going to have the poorest conversion rate going.

Wow, I am amazed as to how low traffic exchanges rate in the general opinion category. I do agree with the general opinion though, especially on Traffic Swarm. I would never use them. Have tried them when they first became public years ago and been running from them ever since, lol.

Yes, exchanges can be very annoying and quite imbarrasing, to say the least, if you get an exchange page behind your site displaying porn, etc. You often lose more customers, than gaining them by using exchanges. People HATE popups. Don't you? What makes anyone think THEIR popup will make a difference?

Another danger are trojans and viruses that some "smartie" tries to infest your pc with via this method by placing malicious code on the page they are exchanging. Be careful, very careful.

For as long as I have been helping individuals as well as businesses to design sites, SEOed, written web copy and advising them as to how to create sites that reach their objectives, I have never recommended exchanges and never will. The above mentioned reason shoud be enough to scare anyone with a bit of sense.
