Quick Answer - NO
The real question should be 'Are my AdSense earnings dead?', to which the answer is
Yes and no, depends who you are.
You may have heard of a 'report' (it calls its self a report but it's more like the first half of a sales pitch) circulating the internet called The Death of AdSense.
This document aims to show how webmasters are earning far less from AdSense than they used to, due to a tweak made in AdWords in late 2005.
If you run a trash-machine-generated-MFA then yes, your earnings will drop, but you already knew that would happen sooner rather than later, didn't you?
If you have rich content and a 'sticky' site then the likelihood is that you'll find a happy medium and that you'll experience no negative effects.
The report is nothing more than a marketing tool, and even has an affiliate programme - although it's free to download the publisher will give you $0.50c (50 cents or half a cent ? it's a bit ambiguous) for every download you refer.
Part two comes out in the next day or so and is expected to be a pitch for some new MLM stuff, and now the publisher has a nice lot of names and email addresses to target.
Truth of the matter - if your AdSense earnings haven't dropped off by any stupid amount this year then you'll be fine and there's nothing to worry about.

The end is nigh!
Look, if you're going to create throw-away sites you've got to be prepared for the worst - that they get thrown away.
Whether they get banned from the listings was an older fear, but now Google has taken things a step further and allowed advertisers the choice.
This is less of a case of AdSense is Dead - MFA sites were killing AdSense
AdSense is fighting back, and I hope they win - AdSense and Google's Advertising has allowed them to continue their amazing business and press ahead to develop new products.

YEEEHAAAAAAAAAAAA I love that.
Sorry, but I am also not a fan of MFA stuff. you'll rarely see me post on AdSense stuff here because of it. I appreciate there are a FEW sites that are labors of love and the webmaster wants to recuop a few $$. There is just so much MFA garbage it makes mee sooo angry (a la Melvin the Martian).
I do more than a bit of research into BH activities and have seen how badly it can be abused... Actually these guys COUNT on the site getting banned. They don't care. They have 100s (some 1000s even) of these sites and use every BH trick in the book until it get's banned ----- Rinse and repeat... arg

I'm in full agreement with Angel Eyes but would like to take this moment to defend myself.
As I mentioned in another post (i forget which one, but i was trying to hand out advice) it's the combination of a good resource and relevant products that gives the affiliate marker his/her income.
Affiliate marketing is the salesman / the middleman
I have had great success, and hope to achieve more, by following this simple plan. I / we create comprehensive free resources and then monetise the sites by supplying contextually relevant adverts, through AdSense, other PPC agencies and various products we have researched and have become an affiliate of. This means that the user is aware of the choice of clicking on adverts - something that is very powerful.
What works for some, and is proving to work less and less, is the MFA sites. As thegyspsy mentions some webmasters have 1000s of sites that get trashed and re-created. It's a cycle that is never ending and is just a game of catch-up. It's how I got into the business, it's tiring and no fun. I prefer the way I'm going now.

Please don't get me wrong - I understand that affiliate marketing has it's place - it's the MFA sh*t that I hate!
I understand what you're doing, Northie, and my response wasn't a personal dig at you

Same here... as long as it is NOT for the AdSense or NOT all affiliate stuff, as long as THERE IS a function to the site and it serves the end user... it's all good.
I have the same feelings about offiline stuff like MLM etc...
So it's the crap and MFA I am against. Very few businesses I deal with MAKE their products. They are all an 'affiliate' in a sense, right? Where there's a middle man....
