I’m SEO and Yahoo! Has me disturbed.

I have a Spanish web page to position, with approximately 2.000 pages, Yahoo indexed around 99 pages and has around 1341 links at the moment, of course I´m speaking about www.yahoo.es

I send the urllist.txt to Yahoo three months ago, because even after visiting the new page (change in design and contents) it didn’t return any of the new pages, but the index. Until two months ago it still showed 3.200 results of pages of the site, being 3.199 old pages, as I already commented, pages that don’t exist since March.

I also looked that my web pages appears on http://add.yahoo.com/fast/help/us/ysear … urlstatus, and it does. This tells me it hasn’t been banned.

Also, 80% of my keywords are in the top 20 in Google and MSN.

My web is http://www.ambassador-inmobiliaria.com so you can see it and tell me why Yahoo hates my page!

If anybody can think of anything else I can do, I would greatly appreciate a comment.

Aloha,
I took a look at your site and though I am no expert on your situation… All of your descriptions are in Spanish so Y may not be able to figure out what its about and just keep going. I also noticed that you have a lot of your keywords as part of your images, which take up your prime real-estate. Add some alt text to the images in English along with the same verbiage in Spanish. Actually you probably can get away with a lot more with your alt text because two distinctly different languages will isolate you from duplicate content filters.

Top 20 is not that good so you need to keep at it. But I will suggest that since most residents are bilingual that you introduce some text in English. You could do something crafty like have a small section that starts out: For English speaking friends… big_smile

Ok, from what I can tell with the little bits of info is a few possible areas of interest;

1.All SEs generally dislike major site moves. Did you 301 the old pages or merely remove them?
2.Yahoo re-inclusion is horrendously slow. You may still be waiting.
3.Looking at the sites I saw no redirects or affiliate programs. Are there any? YaH hates affiliates
4.When the site changed, did the back end system? Is it a new app or the same?
5.I-frames baaaaddddd

I looked at your link profile quickly and from what I can tell Yahoo should love ya there….

So tell me some more..we’ll see what we can do.

Yahoo site explorer suggests that they still like you https://siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com/mysites

My own observations indicate they did some more updating this week so you should be patient.

There have been a bagful of updates at YaH the last few weeks and people are going a little NUTZ around various YaH boards the last few days...

All bets are off for the next couple days until some more info comes in folks...
put Yahoo into a holding pattern..lol
