Does anyone know if there is an image slicing tool so I can create a full-size email creative and have it sliced up for me? I hate doing it in Photoshop, so I am hoping there is some program I can get that takes the full-size image and slices it up for me.
Please help!
Friend, I don't know why you hate doing
it in photoshop. With its pen tool you
can sclice any graphic in whatever way
you want. I am also eager to know weather
there is a tool better than PS for doing this.
webgaya.

Image ready is okay, you just need to be carefull. Do you want soemthing to auto slice for you?
PaintShop Pro is much better at slicing that Adobe products. With it you can move and adjust any slices, even erase one you don't want after all. There is also a program that is free called Splitz, that makes it easy. It is available at http://www.feldfunker.de/software/splitz.htm.

With Photoshop it's so easy! It's just like setting your guidelines, and if you don't care about each slice's filename, when you save for web all you have to do is set it to output the images and html.
I can't see how it could be made any easier, unless they could hook it directly into your brain so you didn't have to move your mouse at all.
Maybe I don't understand what you're going for here?

I see no-ones come up with a free option yet.
Wouldn't it be great if there was an online image splitter where you just uploaded your image, n it kicks out the split images n html to display it all.
Hmmm.

many reasons
put the images in table cells so you can position text /linksimage hotspots etc and other stuff around them, for a start
a full page image may have large areas of block colour that is better off not being an image to speed up download times
it loads better on the page
you can make your image 'dynamically' fit the page using 1px wide/high sections
Use Photoshop - the best tool.
Use slice cut tool and after that save as web page - it will be cut automatically.
In HTML page everything will be aligned.

Hello,
Im a newbie here and Im finding this place to be very useful. I do my own graphic design and I am completely ignorant to slicing images in photoshop. If you look at my sites I wrap my content in a neat rounded box that I have ripped off a template(obviously a sliced image). I would like to figure out how to do this so I could change backgound colors and use different shapes. Is there any tutorials that outline this exact tactic. It would be a great subject for an article on this site!
Regards,
John
